MUSIC: KAROL G AND GREG GONZALEZ - DESPUES DE TI

DESPUES DE TI is about someone that has passed away. In my opinion, it's a heartbreakingly beautiful song. It brings out a lot of different emotions in me.

The combination of Karol's angelic and sensual voice and Greg's amazing guitar work, put me in a dream like trance with images of small Southwestern towns connected by unpaved desert roads. I also remember narrow streets lined with cactuses and desert flowers. There were also plenty of gas stations, diners and souvenir shops.

I am flooded with memories of cross-country road trips that opened my eyes to things I had never seen before. As a kid I did not appreciate those journeys, but now, I cherish those moments.

Greg Gonzalez is from CIGARETTES AFTER SEX. I was introduced to their music via a radio show that used to air on NPR stations; it was called ECHOES. Just for the record, ECHOES and another radio show called HEARTS OF SPACE were eliminated by NPR during a purge of programs / sub channels on both NPR/PBS. I will NOT forgive them for that!

Ambient, techno and trance music are some of my favorite musical genres. Like many others, I started listening to Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream, Michael Garrison, Patrick O'Hearn, Ray Lynch, Klaus Schulze and many others, when I was younger.

I hope Karol G makes an ambient album full of songs like DESPUES DE TI.

As I write this, I can only find a short clip of Karol and Greg performing this song on Karol G's FACEBOOK page. I do NOT know when or if, a proper music video will be released. I also don't know if this song will be released on a CD.

From what I understand it was performed at COACHELLA 2026.

The song TROPICOQUETA is from her album called TROPICOQUETA.

TROPICOQUETA is one of my favorite Karol G songs.

If part of this song sounds familiar, it's because it's MAMBO NO. 5 by Pérez Prado. When I was a kid, I remember hearing that song on the radio and in old movies.

All the screenshots I made were from a video of her performance at COACHELLA 2026 in the city of Indio in California - It's a great video and you can find it on YOUTUBE.

It was a memorable performance, and I mean that in the best way possible.

Watching Karol's hips swaying from side to side is like watching the waves on the ocean. It's a beautiful and calming sight to behold. I could watch her hips for hours; they are that MESMERIZING.

Carolina Giraldo Navarro - AKA Karol G, is one of my favorite music artists.

The song PROVENZA is from her album called MAñANA SERá BONITO.

All the screenshots of her performing PROVENZA are from her live show at COACHELLA 2026.

The look of JOY on her face as she sang, and the ENERGY launching her body around the stage was truly FUCKING AMAZING!

If you don't smile at least once while watching her show, then you need to have your pulse checked immediately, because you're dead inside.

Her performance was fucking incredible and was an example of how you're supposed to put on a SHOW!

Compare her magnificent and impressive performance with the ULTRA LAME MEDIOCRITY of Justin Bieber and Sabrina Carpenter. Their target audience seems to be the junior high school crowd and adults that act like seventh graders!

I've never heard of Sabrina Carpenter and I sure wasn't surprised by how much I disliked what I saw of her performances. The world does NOT need another disposable, out-of-touch, entitled bubble-gum pop queen! 

As for Justin Bieber, he reportedly got paid 10 MILLION DOLLARS to perform! Are you fucking kidding me?! He was on stage with a FUCKING LAPTOP searching for his own songs on YOUTUBE! The people running the Coachella festival appear to have shit-for-brains!

Karol G has more charisma in one fingertip than a dozen other performers combined. 

I have never attended COACHELLA, and after all the negative videos I've seen about it, I never will.

It sounds like mass insanity to find out that people went into debt to attend this music festival! Meanwhile so-called influencers got in for free. Just for the record, who the fuck is influenced by those brain-dead influencers? Only individuals that possess the combined I.Q. of a carrot and baked potato could be influenced by those entitled-moronic-meatbags!

FYI - The last time I went to a concert was in 1993, the same year I left California. The COACHELLA music festival started in the late nineties, in the city of Indio.

OJITOS LINDOS has become one of my favorite songs. It's from his album called UN VERANO SIN TI.

The female singer is Liliana Saumet from a Colombian group called BOMBA ESTEREO. Let me state the obvious, her voice is stunningly beautiful.

Here's my interpretation of this song. His character appears to be a womanizer that is simultaneously dating at least four of five women. All of these relationships appear to be superficial.

At one point he drives his BUGATTI CHIRON recklessly towards a horse crossing and gets into an accident. The horse is ok, but he ends up in the hospital and NONE of his girlfriends shows up. However, his dog does appear, and he spends time with him. He realizes that the love his dog feels for him is genuine.

Love the camera work on this music video. In my opinion, the broken glass from his car looks like tears on the road.

Good luck finding an official CD or VINYL LP at an affordable price! Also, BEWARE, there are tons of BOOTLEG CDs out there!

I have officially gone down the BAD BUNNY rabbit hole.

Just for the record, I hate rap, hard rock and a bunch of other genres.

What makes Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio special is his ability to blend different genres together. He also makes traditional folk style songs feel contemporary. Also, I've mentioned this before, he's able to take his songs into unexpected directions.

BAILE INOLVIDABLE is from BAD BUNNY'S album called DEBI TIRAR MAS FOTOS.

I can't describe in words how much I love this song. It makes me feel a wave of strong emotions.

The story begins with an elderly man registering for lessons at a dance school.

While he's on the dance floor, the camera pans from left to right and we see the elderly man standing next to other students. Then the camera pans in the opposite direction ending at the elderly man, only he's no longer old, he's now young again.

We get to see some of what he experienced when he was young, and we meet the woman he's never forgotten.

I love this song. It's performed in Spanish and Japanese.

FYI: Yonaguni is a Japanese island.

There is NOTHING one-dimensional about Benito. The lyrics and different musical styles contained within any given song proves that. So does the fact, that many of his songs end up going in unexpected directions.

As for YONAGUNI, I can identify with his character and what he's feeling. Some of us can NOT get a truly special person out of our minds, and more importantly, we don't want to forget them. For me, it's a bittersweet torture.

BERGHAIN is performed in German, Spanish and English.

The song seems to be about a highly toxic relationship, and how they are trying to salvage it, even though it's not worth saving. That's my interpretation.

This song is TRUE ART and UNFORGETTABLE in all the right ways.
